What does it cover?

  • New vehicles without comprehensive maintenance / service plan
  • Used vehicles without or expired comprehensive motor-plan
  • All mechanical aspects of vehicle maintenance
  • Servicing and repairs carried out at Moto-LUBE service centres
  • Tow-in charges covered by AA Fleet-care

  • Excess up to R1500 for accident damage over R8000

What is not covered?

  • Petrol and top-up fluids
  • Accident damage and insurance
  • Tyres and wheel alignment (optional – subject to quote)
  • Abuse and / or negligence
  • Non-mechanical interior repairs (body, paint , trim & upholstery)
  • Non-mechanical exterior repairs (cosmetics, sunroofs and electric roofs)
  • Alarms & immobilisers
  • Glass, Windscreen, lenses & Windows
  • Any exclusions to the policy at the time of inspection
  • Repairs to CD and Radio / Tape players
  • Non-authorised repairs
  • Performance modifications unless done and approved by Moto-Lube
  • Electronics and air-conditioning

Squeaks and rattles

  • Consequential damages resulting from accident damage

Payment

  • Payment is made upfront by way of cash or car

When does the contract expire, are there over-usage-penalties, and can it be extended?

  • On reaching the nominated contract mileage or contract period, whichever occurs first, the contract expires. This means there are no penalties for over-usage.
  • Yes, the contract may be extended if the administrators at their sole discretion are happy that it is viable, given the vehicle’s history. An extension quote can only be given close to expiry date and will be subject to certain maximums in terms of cover.

Vehicle Qualification

  • Vehicles not older than 7 years or 160000km

Procedure

  • Vehicle has to come in for pre-inspection and evaluation (at a non refundable fee of R600.00 subject to change without notice)
  • The pre-inspection and evaluation may also be carried out at the AA testing centres (at their current rate)
  • All faults found on inspection will be entered on a check-list and quoted for
  • After evaluation and once all faults are repaired at owner’s / dealer’s cost, the vehicle will be placed on the plan
  • Should the customer not wish to repair the vehicle and still want the plan, these items shall become exclusions on the contract.
  • The cost of the plan will be determined by Moto-LUBE

Options

  • 1 year or 20000km (whichever occurs first)
  • 2 year or 40000km (whichever occurs first)
  • 3 year or 60000km (whichever occurs first)
  • All options provided the vehicle has less than 160000km
  • 50% or 100% cover option available.
